And he brought hym out, and sayde: loke vp vnto heauen, and tell the starres, if thou be able to number them. And he sayde vnto hym: euen so shall thy seede be.

Hope deferred greeueth the heart: but whe the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

Whyle he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogues house, certayne, which sayde: thy daughter is dead, why diseasest thou the maister any further?

Wherfore syrs be of good cheare: for I beleue God, that it shalbe euen as it was tolde me.

And he faynted not in the fayth, nor considered his owne body nowe dead, when he was almost an hundred yeres old, neither yet the deadnesse o Saraes wombe.

For we are saued by hope: But hope that is seene, is no hope. For howe can a man hope for that which he seeth?
