Ye shall do no vnrighteousnesse in iudgement, thou shalt not fauour the person poore, nor honour the person mightie, but in righteousnes shalt thou iudge thy neighbour.
He doth right vnto the fatherlesse and wydowe, and loueth the straunger, to geue hym foode and rayment.
Iudges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy cities which the Lorde thy God geueth thee throughout thy tribes, and they shall iudge the people with iust iudgement.
Howe long wyll ye geue wrong iudgement: and accept the persons of the vngodly? Selah.
To do righteousnes and iudgement, is more acceptable to the Lorde then sacrifice.
But rather in deede amende your wayes and counsels, and iudge right betwixt a man and his neighbour,
O thou house of Dauid, thus saith the Lorde: Minister righteousnesse and that soone, deliuer the oppressed from violent power, or euer my terrible wrath breake out lyke a fire and burne, so that no man may quenche it because of the wickednesse of your imaginations.
Sowe to your selues in righteousnesse, and reape the fruites of well doyng, plowe vp your freshe lande: for it is tyme to seeke the Lorde tyll he come and rayne righteousnesse vpon you.
And let iudgement run downe as water, and righteousnesse as a mightie riuer.
Are not these the wordes which the Lord spake by his prophetes aforetime, when Hierusalem was yet inhabited & wealthy, she and the cities round about her, whe there dwelt men both toward the south and in the playne countreys?
Wo vnto you Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for ye tythe mynt, and annise, and cummyn: and haue left the wayghtier matters of the lawe, iudgement, mercy, and fayth. These ought ye to haue done, and not to leaue the other vndone.
Doth our lawe iudge any man, before it heare hym, and knowe what he hath done?
