For from within, euen out of the heart of men, proceede euill thoughtes, adulteries, fornications, murthers,
For when we were in ye flesh, the affections of sinnes, which were by the Law, had force in our members, to bring foorth fruit vnto death.
Because the wisedome of the flesh is enimitie against God: for it is not subiect to the Lawe of God, neither in deede can be.
Mortifie therefore your members which are on the earth, fornication, vncleannes, the inordinate affection, euill concupiscence, and couetousnes which is idolatrie.
For wee our selues also were in times past vnwise, disobedient, deceiued, seruing the lustes and diuers pleasures, liuing in maliciousnes and enuie, hatefull, and hating one another:
But euery man is tempted, when hee is drawen away by his owne concupiscence, and is entised.
Ye aske, and receiue not, because ye aske amisse, that ye might lay the same out on your pleasures.
Dearely beloued, I beseeche you, as strangers and pilgrims, absteine from fleshly lusts, which fight against the soule,
For in speaking swelling wordes of vanitie, they beguile with wantonnesse through the lusts of the flesh them that were cleane escaped from them which are wrapped in errour,
Loue not this world, neither the things that are in this world. If any man loue this world, the loue of the Father is not in him.
