For these foure chiefe porters were in perpetuall office, and were of the Leuites and had charge of the chambers, and of the treasures in the house of God.

And as Iesus sate ouer against the treasurie, he beheld how the people cast money into the treasurie, and many rich men cast in much.

The same day there came certaine Pharises, and said vnto him, Depart, and goe hence: for Herod will kill thee.

Go ye vp vnto this feast: I wil not go vp yet vnto this feast: for my time is not yet fulfilled.

And some of them would haue taken him, but no man layde handes on him.

Againe they went about to take him: but he escaped out of their handes,
