And nowe, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to feare the Lord thy God, to walke in all his wayes, & to loue him, and to serue the Lord thy God, with all thine heart, and with all thy soule?

My sonne, giue mee thine heart, and let thine eyes delite in my wayes.

And call no man your father vpon the earth: for there is but one, your father which is in heauen.

And he answered, and saide, Thou shalt loue thy Lord God with all thine heart, and with all thy soule, and with all thy strength, and with all thy thought, and thy neighbour as thy selfe.

Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed vnto idoles, we knowe that an idole is nothing in the worlde, and that there is none other God but one.

For the end of the commaundement is loue out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith vnfained.

Thou beleeuest that there is one God: thou doest well: the deuils also beleeue it, and tremble.
