Yet the Lord hath not giuen you an heart to perceiue, and eyes to see, & eares to heare, vnto this day.

They haue a mouth and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.

Heare, ye deafe: and ye blinde, regarde, that ye may see.

Heare nowe this, O foolish people, and without vnderstanding, which haue eyes and see not, which haue eares and heare not.

So in them is fulfilled the prophecie of Esaias, which prophecie saieth, By hearing, ye shall heare, and shall not vnderstand, and seeing, ye shal see, and shall not perceiue.

He hath blinded their eyes, and hardned their heart, that they shoulde not see with their eyes, nor vnderstand with their heart, and should be conuerted, and I should heale them.

According as it is written, God hath giuen them the spirit of slumber: eyes that they should not see, and eares that they should not heare vnto this day.

Wherefore, I will not be negligent to put you alwayes in remembrance of these things, though that ye haue knowledge, & be stablished in the present trueth.
