But if you seek the LORD your God from there, you will find him, if, indeed, you seek him with all your heart and soul.

“You know that my father David was unable to build a temple to honor the LORD his God, for he was busy fighting battles on all fronts while the LORD subdued his enemies.

and set up in it a place for the ark containing the covenant the LORD made with our ancestors when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.”

Seek the LORD and the strength he gives! Seek his presence continually!

The priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its assigned place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, in the most holy place under the wings of the cherubim.

Jehoshaphat was afraid, so he decided to seek the LORD’s advice. He decreed that all Judah should observe a fast.

How blessed are those who observe his rules, and seek him with all their heart,

So I turned my attention to the Lord God to implore him by prayer and requests, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.

Go up to the hill country and bring back timber to build the temple. Then I will be pleased and honored,’ says the LORD.

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.’
