Furthermore, Solomon has assumed the royal throne.
He took the officers of the units of hundreds, the Carians, the royal bodyguard, and all the people of the land, and together they led the king down from the LORD’s temple. They entered the royal palace through the Gate of the Royal Bodyguard, and the king sat down on the royal throne.
“Now, my son, may the LORD be with you! May you succeed and build a temple for the LORD your God, just as he announced you would.
¶ The Lord Gives Solomon Wisdom Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, for the LORD his God was with him and magnified him greatly.
May the LORD your God be praised because he favored you by placing you on his throne as the one ruling on his behalf! Because of your God’s love for Israel and his lasting commitment to them, he made you king over them so you could make just and right decisions.”
