The Lord Judges the House of Eli Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him,“This is what the LORD has said:‘I plainly revealed myself to your ancestor’s house when they were slaves to the house of Pharaoh in Egypt.

So now listen to the LORD’s message! You say,‘Don’t prophesy against Israel! Don’t preach against the family of Isaac!’
For we tell you this by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will surely not go ahead of those who have fallen asleep.
