He called that place Bethel, although the former name of the town was Luz.

Mizpah, Kephirah, Mozah,

He had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkeys and possessed thirty cities. To this day these towns are called Havvoth Jair– they are in the land of Gilead.

Then Samuel called the people together before the LORD at Mizpah.

Defend the cause of the poor and the fatherless! Vindicate the oppressed and suffering!
