David Acquires a Threshing Floor and Constructs an Altar There So Gad went to David that day and told him,“Go up and build an altar for the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

The bottom floor of the extension was seven and a half feet wide, the middle floor nine feet wide, and the third floor ten and a half feet wide. He made ledges on the temple’s outer walls so the beams would not have to be inserted into the walls.

David then said,“This is the place where the temple of the LORD God will be, along with the altar for burnt sacrifices for Israel.”
