But you said to your servants,‘If your youngest brother does not come down with you, you will not see my face again.’

Now Michal, Saul’s daughter, loved David. When they told Saul about this, it pleased him.

Saul sent messengers to David’s house to guard it and to kill him in the morning. Then David’s wife Michal told him,“If you do not save yourself tonight, tomorrow you will be dead!”

As the ark of the LORD’s covenant entered the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked out the window. When she saw King David jumping and celebrating, she despised him.
