TSK · 2 Samuel 7:14

Be keenly aware that just as a parent disciplines his child, the LORD your God disciplines you.

He said to me,‘Solomon your son is the one who will build my temple and my courts, for I have chosen him to become my son and I will become his father.

The king says,“I will announce the LORD’s decree. He said to me:‘You are my son! This very day I have become your father!

I will appoint him to be my firstborn son, the most exalted of the earth’s kings.

How blessed is the one whom you instruct, O LORD, the one whom you teach from your law,

For I, the LORD, affirm that I will be with you and will rescue you. I will completely destroy all the nations where I scattered you. But I will not completely destroy you. I will indeed discipline you, but only in due measure. I will not allow you to go entirely unpunished.”

But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world.

And have you forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons?“My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline or give up when he corrects you.
