The Call of the Disciples As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon(called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea(for they were fishermen).

Now these are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon(called Peter), and Andrew his brother; James son of Zebedee and John his brother;

Andrew’s Declaration Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two disciples who heard what John said and followed Jesus.

So Thomas(called Didymus) said to his fellow disciples,“Let us go too, so that we may die with him.”

One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved, was at the table to the right of Jesus in a place of honor.

The girl who was the doorkeeper said to Peter,“You’re not one of this man’s disciples too, are you?” He replied,“I am not.”

Eight days later the disciples were again together in the house, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“Peace be with you!”

Peter’s Restoration Then when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these do?” He replied,“Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus told him,“Feed my lambs.”
