TSK · Amos 6:3

When a sentence is not executed at once against a crime, the human heart is encouraged to do evil.

Each one says,‘Come on, I’ll get some wine! Let’s guzzle some beer! Tomorrow will be just like today! We’ll have everything we want!’

“Take note, son of man, the house of Israel is saying,‘The vision that he sees is for distant days; he is prophesying about the far future.’

“They do not know how to do what is right.”(The LORD is speaking.)“They store up the spoils of destructive violence in their fortresses.

The Lord Demands Justice Woe to those who wish for the day of the LORD! Why do you want the LORD’s day of judgment to come? It will bring darkness, not light.

All the sinners among my people will die by the sword– the ones who say,‘Disaster will not come near, it will not confront us.’

Now when they are saying,“There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction comes on them, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will surely not escape.

because in a single hour such great wealth has been destroyed!” And every ship’s captain, and all who sail along the coast– seamen, and all who make their living from the sea, stood a long way off
