“When a resident foreigner lives with you and wants to observe the Passover to the LORD, all his males must be circumcised, and then he may approach and observe it, and he will be like one who is born in the land– but no uncircumcised person may eat of it.

but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. On that day you must not do any work, you, your son, your daughter, your male slave, your female slave, your ox, your donkey, any other animal, or the resident foreigner who lives with you, so that your male and female slaves, like yourself, may have rest.

The leaders then added,“Let them live.” So they became woodcutters and water carriers for the whole community, as the leaders had decided.

So he went with them. When they arrived at the Jordan, they started cutting down trees.

Jehoiada then drew up a covenant stipulating that he, all the people, and the king should be loyal to the LORD.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female– for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
