for it is his only covering– it is his garment for his body. What else can he sleep in? And when he cries out to me, I will hear, for I am gracious.

One of his advisers said,“No, my master, O king. The prophet Elisha who lives in Israel keeps telling the king of Israel the things you say in your bedroom.”

Also, do not pay attention to everything that people say; otherwise, you might even hear your servant cursing you.

But Martha was distracted with all the preparations she had to make, so she came up to him and said,“Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work alone? Tell her to help me.”

He answered,“I tell you, if they keep silent, the very stones will cry out!”
