The Sign of the Covenant When Abram was 99 years old, the LORD appeared to him and said,“I am the Sovereign God. Walk before me and be blameless.

The LORD appeared to Isaac and said,“Do not go down to Egypt; settle down in the land that I will point out to you.

He added,“I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

“Go and bring together the elders of Israel and tell them,‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, appeared to me– the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob– saying,“I have attended carefully to you and to what has been done to you in Egypt,

The Source of Sufficiency Moses answered again,“And if they do not believe me or pay attention to me, but say,‘The LORD has not appeared to you’?”

The LORD said to Moses,“I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people may hear when I speak with you and so that they will always believe in you.” And Moses told the words of the people to the LORD.

Ephraim’s leader is Samaria, and Samaria’s leader is the son of Remaliah. If your faith does not remain firm, then you will not remain secure.”

“But I have a testimony greater than that from John. For the deeds that the Father has assigned me to complete– the deeds I am now doing– testify about me that the Father has sent me.

I knew that you always listen to me, but I said this for the sake of the crowd standing around here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

But these are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
