There I will meet with the Israelites, and it will be set apart as holy by my glory.

The Leading of the Lord On the day that the tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered the tabernacle– the tent of the testimony– and from evening until morning there was a fiery appearance over the tabernacle.

The priests could not carry out their duties because of the cloud; the LORD’s glory filled his temple.

The priests were unable to enter the LORD’s temple because the LORD’s splendor filled the LORD’s temple.

The sound of their voices shook the door frames, and the temple was filled with smoke.

The glory of the LORD came into the temple by way of the gate that faces east.
