TSK · Ezekiel 39:23

At that time my anger will erupt against them and I will abandon them and hide my face from them until they are devoured. Many disasters and distresses will overcome them so that they will say at that time,‘Have not these disasters overcome us because our God is not among us?’

He said,“I will reject them, I will see what will happen to them; for they are a perverse generation, children who show no loyalty.

The LORD was furious with Israel and handed them over to robbers who plundered them. He turned them over to their enemies who lived around them. They could no longer withstand their enemies’ attacks.

As for this temple, which was once majestic, everyone who passes by it will be shocked and say,‘Why did the LORD do this to this land and this temple?’

Why, LORD, do you stand far off? Why do you pay no attention during times of trouble?

He handed them over to the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.

I will wait patiently for the LORD, who has rejected the family of Jacob; I will wait for him.

But your sinful acts have alienated you from your God; your sins have caused him to reject you and not listen to your prayers.

“‘People from other nations will pass by this city. They will ask one another,“Why has the LORD done such a thing to this great city?”

The captain of the royal guard took Jeremiah aside and said to him,“The LORD your God threatened this place with this disaster.

ס(Samek) All who passed by on the road clapped their hands to mock you. They sneered and shook their heads at Daughter Jerusalem.“Ha! Is this the city they called‘The perfection of beauty, the source of joy of the whole earth!’?”

Then the nations which remain around you will know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt the ruins and replanted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken– and I will do it!’
