TSK · Ezra 1:6

Now the Israelites had done as Moses told them– they had requested from the Egyptians silver and gold items and clothing.

The people were delighted with their donations, for they contributed to the LORD with a willing attitude; King David was also very happy.

and to bring silver and gold which the king and his advisers have freely contributed to the God of Israel, who resides in Jerusalem,

and I weighed out to them the silver, the gold, and the vessels intended for the temple of our God– items that the king, his advisers, his officials, and all Israel who were present had contributed.

He caused all their conquerors to have pity on them.

Each one of you should give just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, because God loves a cheerful giver.
