God called the dry ground“land” and the gathered waters he called“seas.” God saw that it was good.

Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this,

For he spoke, and it came into existence, he issued the decree, and it stood firm.

He covers himself with light as if it were a garment. He stretches out the skies like a tent curtain,

the one who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who remains forever faithful,

Look up at the sky! Who created all these heavenly lights? He is the one who leads out their ranks; he calls them all by name. Because of his absolute power and awesome strength, not one of them is missing.

I made the earth; I created the people who live on it. It was me– my hands stretched out the sky. I give orders to all the heavenly lights.

Yes, my hand founded the earth; my right hand spread out the sky. I summon them; they stand together.

For look, I am ready to create new heavens and a new earth! The former ones will not be remembered; no one will think about them anymore.

The LORD is the one who by his power made the earth. He is the one who by his wisdom established the world. And by his understanding he spread out the skies.

The Repentance of Judah This is an oracle, the LORD’s message concerning Israel: The LORD– he who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth, who forms the human spirit within a person– says,
