The Narrow Gate“Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

“The law and the prophets were in force until John; since then, the good news of the kingdom of God has been proclaimed, and everyone is urged to enter it.

“Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the domain of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience,

Lights in the World So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence,

They profess to know God but with their deeds they deny him, since they are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.

See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has an evil, unbelieving heart that forsakes the living God.

But we passionately want each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of your hope until the end,
