And now, if you will diligently listen to me and keep my covenant, then you will be my special possession out of all the nations, for all the earth is mine,

He took the Book of the Covenant and read it aloud to the people, and they said,“We are willing to do and obey all that the LORD has spoken.”

The LORD said to Moses,“Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”

They will be my people, and I will be their God.

The Restoration of Israel(2:1) However, in the future the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand of the sea which can be neither measured nor numbered. Although it was said to them,“You are not my people,” it will be said to them,“You are children of the living God!”

And I will bring them to settle within Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and righteousness.’

‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living!”

And this is my covenant with them, when I take away their sins.”

revealing that you are a letter of Christ, delivered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on stone tablets but on tablets of human hearts.

He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.

But as it is, they aspire to a better land, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

So put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the message implanted within you, which is able to save your souls.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
