You are to put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod, stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, and Aaron will bear their names before the LORD on his two shoulders for a memorial.

You ascend on high, you have taken many captives. You receive tribute from men, including even sinful rebels. Indeed the LORD God lives there!

“We heard him say,‘I will destroy this temple made with hands and in three days build another not made with hands.’”

Now during the blessing he departed and was taken up into heaven.

After he had said this, while they were watching, he was lifted up and a cloud hid him from their sight.

Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

Therefore it says,“When he ascended on high he captured captives; he gave gifts to men.”

The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

The place where they serve is a sketch and shadow of the heavenly sanctuary, just as Moses was warned by God as he was about to complete the tabernacle. For he says,“See that you make everything according to the design shown to you on the mountain.”

Christ’s Service in the Heavenly Sanctuary But now Christ has come as the high priest of the good things to come. He passed through the greater and more perfect tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,

keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
