Although I am innocent, my mouth would condemn me; although I am blameless, it would declare me perverse.

I will say to God,‘Do not condemn me; tell me why you are contending with me.’

If I sinned, then you would watch me and you would not acquit me of my iniquity.

Futile Words, Deceptive Answers“Yes, I know what you are thinking, the schemes by which you would wrong me.

Yet God finds occasions with me; he regards me as his enemy!

I concluded,“Surely in vain I have kept my motives pure and maintained a pure lifestyle.
