Elisha told Gehazi,“Tuck your robes into your belt, take my staff, and go! Don’t stop to exchange greetings with anyone! Place my staff on the child’s face.”

I will declare your name to my countrymen! In the middle of the assembly I will praise you!

For God, our God, is our defender forever! He guides us!

He will call out to me,‘You are my father, my God, and the protector who delivers me.’

“But I will make a new covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the LORD.“I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be my people.

Then you will live in the land I gave to your fathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.

“Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is my associate,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. Strike the shepherd that the flock may be scattered; I will turn my hand against the insignificant ones.

And the king will answer them,‘I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.’

But Jesus met them, saying,“Greetings!” They came to him, held on to his feet and worshiped him.

Do not carry a money bag, a traveler’s bag, or sandals, and greet no one on the road.

But to all who have received him– those who believe in his name– he has given the right to become God’s children

Washing the Disciples’ Feet Just before the Passover Feast, Jesus knew that his time had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now loved them to the very end.

There are many dwelling places in my Father’s house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you.

You heard me say to you,‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

And now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory I had with you before the world was created.

Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these men know that you sent me.

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.

and I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” says the All-Powerful Lord.

And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who calls“Abba! Father!”

Therefore it says,“When he ascended on high he captured captives; he gave gifts to men.”

“For this is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and I will inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.

New Birth to Joy and Holiness Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he gave us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:“Look! The residence of God is among human beings. He will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them.
