You hear prayers; all people approach you.

I solemnly make this oath– what I say is true and reliable:‘Surely every knee will bow to me, every tongue will solemnly affirm;

He came as a witness to testify about the light, so that everyone might believe through him.

John testified about him and shouted out,“This one was the one about whom I said,‘He who comes after me is greater than I am, because he existed before me.’”

came to Jesus at night and said to him,“Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs that you do unless God is with him.”

Thus the Pharisees said to one another,“You see that you can do nothing. Look, the world has run off after him!”

for you are still influenced by the flesh. For since there is still jealousy and dissension among you, are you not influenced by the flesh and behaving like unregenerate people?

Those who want to make a good showing in external matters are trying to force you to be circumcised. They do so only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.

Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says,“The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”?
