¶ The Ministry of John the Baptist The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

He asked them,“But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him,“You are the Christ.”

On the next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,“Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Philip found Nathanael and told him,“We have found the one Moses wrote about in the law, and the prophets also wrote about– Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Thomas replied to him,“My Lord and my God!”

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said,“Look, there is water! What is to stop me from being baptized?”

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been fathered by God, and everyone who loves the father loves the child fathered by him.
