“But if you do not do this, then look, you will have sinned against the LORD. And know that your sin will find you out.

Get up! Ritually consecrate the people and tell them this:‘Ritually consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because this is what the LORD God of Israel has said,“You are contaminated, O Israel! You will not be able to stand before your enemies until you remove what is contaminating you.”

When Gideon arrived, he heard a man telling another man about a dream he had. The man said,“Look! I had a dream. I saw a stale cake of barley bread rolling into the Midianite camp. It hit a tent so hard it knocked it over and turned it upside down. The tent just collapsed.”

Then Samuel brought all the tribes of Israel near, and the tribe of Benjamin was chosen by lot.

Then Saul said,“O LORD God of Israel! If this sin has been committed by me or by my son Jonathan, then, O LORD God of Israel, respond with Urim. But if this sin has been committed by your people Israel, respond with Thummim.” Then Jonathan and Saul were indicated by lot, while the army was exonerated.
