Then Abraham said,“May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak! What if thirty are found there?” He replied,“I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

He turned streams into a desert, springs of water into arid land,

“Look, I am about to do something new. Now it begins to happen! Do you not recognize it? Yes, I will make a road in the wilderness and paths in the wastelands.

but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Both Paul and Barnabas replied courageously,“It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles.

“Therefore be advised that this salvation from God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen!”
