Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden, and whom God has hedged in?

You cause those who know me to keep their distance; you make me an appalling sight to them. I am trapped and cannot get free.

So the officials took Jeremiah and put him in the cistern of Malkijah, one of the royal princes, that was in the courtyard of the guardhouse. There was no water in the cistern, only mud. So when they lowered Jeremiah into the cistern with ropes he sank in the mud.

נ(Nun) My sins are bound around my neck like a yoke; they are fastened together by his hand. He has placed his yoke on my neck; he has sapped my strength. The Lord has handed me over to those whom I cannot resist.

We are pursued– they are breathing down our necks; we are weary and have no rest.

The Lord’s Discipline Will Bring Israel Back Therefore, I will soon fence her in with thorns; I will wall her in so that she cannot find her way.
