If you make me an altar of stone, you must not build it of stones shaped with tools, for if you use your tool on it you have defiled it.

The Sin Offering Sacrificial Procedures“Aaron is to present the sin offering bull which is for himself, and he is to make atonement on behalf of himself and his household. He is to slaughter the sin offering bull which is for himself,

“Then he is to go out to the altar which is before the LORD and make atonement for it. He is to take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it all around on the horns of the altar.

You must not do any work on this particular day, because it is a day of atonement to make atonement for yourselves before the LORD your God.
