“Speak to the Israelites, and tell them,‘When either a man or a woman takes a special vow, to take a vow as a Nazirite, to separate himself to the LORD,

Vows Made by Single Women“If a young woman who is still living in her father’s house makes a vow to the LORD or places herself under an obligation,

If you refrain from making a vow, it will not be sinful.

When you enter the vineyard of your neighbor you may eat as many grapes as you please, but you must not take away any in a container.

After two months she returned to her father, and he did to her as he had vowed. She died a virgin. Her tragic death gave rise to a custom in Israel.

So I also dedicate him to the LORD. For all the days of his life he is dedicated to the LORD.”Then he bowed down there in worship to the LORD.
