But Jesus was silent. The high priest said to him,“I charge you under oath by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.”

He replied to him,‘If they do not respond to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Why don’t you understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept my teaching.

The Jewish leaders surrounded him and asked,“How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said. They know what I said.”
