Then Levi gave a great banquet in his house for Jesus, and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others sitting at the table with them.

Rebuking the Pharisees and Experts in the Law As he spoke, a Pharisee invited Jesus to have a meal with him, so he went in and took his place at the table.

But the Pharisees and the experts in the law were complaining,“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.
