I am not worthy of all the faithful love you have shown your servant. With only my walking stick I crossed the Jordan, but now I have become two camps.

“I baptize you with water, for repentance, but the one coming after me is more powerful than I am– I am not worthy to carry his sandals! He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

While he was still speaking, someone from the synagogue leader’s house came and said,“Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher any longer.”

with respect to Jesus from Nazareth, that God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.
