When you enter the land that the LORD will give to you, just as he said, you must observe this ceremony.

In the future, when your son asks you‘What is this?’ you are to tell him,‘With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the land of slavery.

I have asked the LORD for one thing– this is what I desire! I want to live in the LORD’s house all the days of my life, so I can gaze at the splendor of the LORD and contemplate in his temple.
