Then he said to them,“Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or evil, to save a life or destroy it?” But they were silent.

Then the Lord answered him,“You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall, and lead it to water?

So he told them,“My Father is working until now, and I too am working.”

(Now the day on which Jesus made the mud and caused him to see was a Sabbath.)

And God put all things under Christ’s feet, and gave him to the church as head over all things.
