The Temple Tax After they arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the temple tax came to Peter and said,“Your teacher pays the double drachma tax, doesn’t he?”

Now immediately, when Jesus realized in his spirit that they were contemplating such thoughts, he said to them,“Why are you thinking such things in your hearts?

He did not need anyone to testify about man, for he knew what was in man.

And no creature is hidden from God, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.
