The Lost Lover is FoundThe Beloved about Her Lover: All night long on my bed I longed for my lover. I longed for him but he never appeared.

The Beloved to Her Lover:“I have already taken off my robe– must I put it on again? I have already washed my feet– must I soil them again?”

For the message is a witness to what is decreed; it gives reliable testimony about how matters will turn out. Even if the message is not fulfilled right away, wait patiently; for it will certainly come to pass– it will not arrive late.

After a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them.

He came again and found them sleeping; they could not keep their eyes open.
