The angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from within a bush. He looked– and the bush was ablaze with fire, but it was not being consumed!

God Opposes Balaam Then God’s anger was kindled because he went, and the angel of the LORD stood in the road to oppose him. Now he was riding on his donkey and his two servants were with him.

But the angel of the LORD said to Balaam,“Go with the men, but you may only speak the word that I will speak to you.” So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.

You must not muzzle your ox when it is treading grain.

The LORD is good to all, and has compassion on all he has made.

The one who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD, but the one who is perverted in his ways despises him.

A poor person who walks in his integrity is better than one who is perverse in his ways even though he is rich.

Should I not be even more concerned about Nineveh, this enormous city? There are more than one hundred twenty thousand people in it who do not know right from wrong, as well as many animals!”

and said,“You who are full of all deceit and all wrongdoing, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness– will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?
