Therefore be resolved not to rehearse ahead of time how to make your defense.

Paul Offers His Defense So Agrippa said to Paul,“You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul held out his hand and began his defense:

I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that I often intended to come to you(and was prevented until now), so that I may have some fruit even among you, just as I already have among the rest of the Gentiles.

On the contrary, when they saw that I was entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised just as Peter was entrusted with the gospel to the circumcised

Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.

For this gospel I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher.

At my first defense no one appeared in my support; instead they all deserted me– may they not be held accountable for it.
