Look down from heaven and take notice, from your holy, majestic palace! Where are your zeal and power? Do not hold back your tender compassion!

Because of our God’s tender mercy the dawn will break upon us from on high

Israel’s Rejection Considered I am telling the truth in Christ(I am not lying!), for my conscience assures me in the Holy Spirit–

And his affection for you is much greater when he remembers the obedience of you all, how you welcomed him with fear and trembling.

I assure you that, before God, I am not lying about what I am writing to you!

Christian Unity and Christ’s Humility Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy,

Christian Practices So then, my brothers and sisters, dear friends whom I long to see, my joy and crown, stand in the Lord in this way, my dear friends!

Exhortation to Unity and Love Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

with such affection for you we were happy to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.

I have sent him(who is my very heart) back to you.

But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person?
