For the LORD holds in his hand a cup full of foaming wine mixed with spices, and pours it out. Surely all the wicked of the earth will slurp it up and drink it to its very last drop.”

If they say,“Come with us! We will lie in wait to shed blood; we will ambush an innocent person capriciously.

Therefore they will eat from the fruit of their way, and they will be stuffed full of their own counsel.

The speech of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the speech of the wicked conceals violence.

A person will be satisfied with good from the fruit of his words, and the work of his hands will be rendered to him.

Then the LORD said to me,“Tell them that the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel says,‘Drink this cup until you get drunk and vomit. Drink until you fall down and can’t get up. For I will send wars sweeping through you.’

For you will pay in full for your violent acts against Lebanon; terrifying judgment will come upon you because of the way you destroyed the wild animals living there. You have shed human blood and committed violent acts against lands, cities, and those who live in them.
