All day long he shows compassion and lends to others, and his children are blessed.

Give to the one who asks you, and do not reject the one who wants to borrow from you.

I have desired no one’s silver or gold or clothing.

Just as it is written,“He has scattered widely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains forever.”

For we never appeared with flattering speech, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed– God is our witness–
