The ark of God was taken, and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phineas, were killed.

“And you, Solomon my son, obey the God of your father and serve him with a submissive attitude and a willing spirit, for the LORD examines all minds and understands every motive of one’s thoughts. If you seek him, he will let you find him, but if you abandon him, he will reject you permanently.

I was embarrassed to request soldiers and horsemen from the king to protect us from the enemy along the way, because we had said to the king,“The good hand of our God is on everyone who is seeking him, but his great anger is against everyone who forsakes him.”

The king responded,“What is it you are seeking?” Then I quickly prayed to the God of heaven

I will instruct and teach you about how you should live. I will advise you as I look you in the eye.

A person plans his course, but the LORD directs his steps.

God’s People Anticipate Vindication The way of the righteous is level, the path of the righteous that you make is straight.

It is me– I stir him up and commission him; I will make all his ways level. He will rebuild my city; he will send my exiled people home, but not for a price or a bribe,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.

LORD, we know that people do not control their own destiny. It is not in their power to determine what will happen to them.

The Mission of Titus But thanks be to God who put in the heart of Titus the same devotion I have for you,

And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.
