The appetite of the sluggard craves but gets nothing, but the desire of the diligent will be abundantly satisfied.

The sluggard will not plow during the planting season, so at harvest time he asks for grain but has nothing.

“A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to relax,

The fool folds his hands and does no work, so he has nothing to eat but his own flesh.
