The LORD deserves praise, for he has heard my plea for mercy!

For you are my high ridge and my stronghold; for the sake of your own reputation you lead me and guide me.

As for me, I will call out to God, and the LORD will deliver me.

A song, a psalm written by the Korahites; for the music director; according to the machalath-leannoth style; a well-written song by Heman the Ezrachite. O LORD God who delivers me! By day I cry out and at night I pray before you.

You threw me into the deep waters, into the middle of the sea; the ocean current engulfed me; all the mighty waves you sent swept over me.

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.
