The Martyrdom of Arsanius, Servant of Susenyos
On this day, Saint Arsanius, servant of Saint Susenyos, was martyred. The father of this saint complained to Diocletian about the servant Arsanius, saying that he worships Christ and denies the worship of idols. The king summoned him and asked about his belief. He confessed the divinity of the Lord Christ and also rebuked the king for abandoning the worship of the true God and adhering to the worship of idols. The king became very angry and ordered his beheading before his lord, and he received the crown of martyrdom. May his prayers be with us, and to our Lord be glory forever. Amen.
